Opta offers a service in which media clients can contact the team directly, via phone, email, live-chat or our innovative Live Monitor service. This allows them to ask questions, submit requests and have our team of experts interrogate our database on their behalf.
Opta Live Monitor for football
Opta's Live Monitor is a web-based interactive analysis tool that allows a broadcaster, commentator or researcher direct access to Opta during a live game environment.
The user can choose from a range of data categories, covering teams, players and match events - all updated in real time.
Graphical analysis is available in the form of average position charts and player touches, allowing the user to track every nuance of a match, while a pass matrix reveals which players are combining effectively.
Editorial content is available with up to 10 pre-match Opta Facts on each match, plus a live chat window which allows the user to interact with Opta editorial staff and request specific research and bespoke analysis.
The Live Monitor is available in five languages and for every football competition that Opta covers.

Opta's highly skilled editorial team can create commentator packs that can help broadcasters and presentation teams drive the news agenda and provide the nuggets of information that helps to ensure that the debate continues long after the final whistle has blown.
